Literally an oasis in the desert, Lake Pleasant is the crown jewel of Peoria city. Spread over 10,000 acres, including the lake, two marinas and watercraft rentals, Lake Pleasant offers an unmatched experience of desert exploration to its visitors. From boating, fishing, hiking and walking trails, kayaking, camping and an array of water sports, tourists can never get bored over here. Moreover, the lake and the park also offers a widespread trail system, gliding lessons at Turf Soaring School and a number of archeological sites.

Arizona Challenger Space Center

Take a trip to the stars at the Arizona Challenger Space Center. Opened in July 2000, the Challenger Space Center is a famous resource center that is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution. Focused on promoting space exploration and other scientific quests, this place is known for its simulated flight missions for all ages. The space center is also offers various space camps, storytelling sessions, telescope classes and an indoor planetarium for both locals and visitors.

Peoria Center for the Performing Arts

Established in December 2006, Peoria Center for the Performing Arts is a famous 250 seat theater in the city. It operated by Theater Works, a popular acting company in the state. Designed by the famous architect – Westlake Reed Leskosky, Peoria Center for the Performing Arts also received the Best New Playhouse by Phoenix New Times in the year 2008.

Peoria Arizona Historical Society Museum

Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park

Opened in December 2011, Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park is the first ever trampoline park to allow people of any shape, age and size to jump and leap at a trampoline. Spread over 27,930 square feet, it is the largest indoor trampoline park in the entire state. The trampolines are designed in such a way, that each jumper is entitled to their own square where they can safely jump. However, most just end jumping from square to square and into a foam pit. Besides jumping on the trampoline, one can also indulge in a number of other activities like 3D dodge ball, trampoline basketball and a variety of other fitness programs.
